  1. It is our recommendation to begin selecting a weight vest that fits properly.  It is better to have a vest that sways less when moving through the length of the course.  

  2. Place your hands around your shoulders provides a way to keep your balance centered and reminds you not to reach for the rails on both sides.

  3. Control your breathing if possible.  Slow and controlled breathing leads to a slower and steadier heart rate.
